J. Patrick Caulfield, M.D.
A native of Chevy Chase, Dr. Caulfield graduated from Georgetown Medical School and completed orthopaedic residency at Georgetown University in 1970. Then he spent two years as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Pensacola Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Caulfield is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His special interest is in total joint replacement for which he has performed several thousand surgeries since 1970. Dr. Caulfield has been featured in every issue of Washingtonian Magazine’s "Top Doctors" since it’s inception in 1991.

Edward J. Bieber, M.D.
Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and also in Hand Surgery, Dr. Bieber is interested in all areas of orthopaedics, with special interest in reconstruction, trauma, arthroscopy, and sports medicine of the upper extremity, including the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. A graduate of Yale University and Georgetown Medical School, his orthopaedic training was at Johns Hopkins University with a fellowship in hand and upper extremity at the Mayo Clinic. He is a consultant for hand and upper extremity surgery at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Bieber has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Chairman of the Medical Staff at Suburban Hospital and as President of the Washington Orthopaedic Society.

Ira D. Fisch, M.D.
A graduate of Queens College and Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Fisch trained in orthopaedic surgery at the Montefiore/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He received spine training at the Spinecare/ St. Mary’s/ Stanford University Combined Spine Fellowship Program. His areas of special interest include surgery of the cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine. A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Fisch is trained in all aspects of spine surgery instrumentation, using anterior and posterior approaches. In addition, he is a leader in state-of-the-art spine injections, which frequently enable patients to avoid surgery.

Kurt C. Schluntz, M.D.
A graduate of Harvard University, Dr. Schluntz received his prthopaedic surgery training at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute under Dr. James Andrews. His sports training focused on the treatment of athletic injuries to the knee, shoulder, and elbow. A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, his main areas of interest are sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, as well as joint replacement surgery of the knee.

Andre R. Gazdag, M.D.
A graduate of the University of California, Davis and Duke University Medical School, Dr. Gazdag trained in orthopaedic surgery at UCLA Medical Center and subsequently completed a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Gazdag is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is specially trained to treat all conditions of the foot and ankle including those related to rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and trauma. Dr. Gazdag also manages sports related injuries of the foot and ankle and performs ankle arthroscopic surgery.

Christopher J. Cannova, M.D.
Completing his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Georgetown University, Dr. Cannova followed this with a fellowship in Joint Reconstruction at the Hospital for Special Surgery/ Cornell University Medical Center in New York. This training included complex total joint replacement and revision total joint surgery. In addition, Dr. Cannova is specialty trained in the newest techniques of minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery including partial joint replacement, joint resurfacing, and alternative bearing joints. His areas of expertise are joint reconstruction and total joint replacement.

Mahidhar M. Durbhakula, M.D.
A graduate of Northwestern University. He continued his education at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine , where he received a medical degree. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During this time, Dr. Durbhakula performed basic science and clinical research that has been presented at numerous national meetings.
