Mahidhar M. Durbhakula, M.D.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Dr. Durbhakula continued his education at the university’s Feinberg School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During this time, Dr. Durbhakula performed basic science and clinical research that has been presented at numerous national meetings.
Dr. Durbhakula then completed a fellowship specializing in hand, wrist and elbow surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, in affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. This training involved all aspects of surgery of the hand and upper extremity, including traumatic, reconstructive, arthroscopic and microvascular surgery.
While he enjoys all aspects of orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Durbhakula’s area of specialization is surgery of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow.
