Joey Flood PT, DPT, CSCS

Joey native to Montgomery County, attending Gaithersburg High school and University of Maryland College Park. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He has worked in the fitnes industry for over a decade, and continues to passionately assist individuals and teams to minimize injury risks and maximize performance. He is an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and holds specializations in Performance Enhancement, Corrective Exercise, Senior Fitness and Youth Exercise through NASM.

While attending PT school, Joey helped revise and create a number of patient education documents for OrthoBethesda, including their post-surgical physical therapy protocols. After graduating, he spent time working at a private practice sports medicine clinic, successfully returning athletes of all ages to the activities they love. He has attended several courses through the Postural Restoration Institute and McKenzie Institute.

Joey enjoys working with orthopedic and sports medicine populations. He is passionate about maximizing every patient’s quality of life by educating them on ways to incorporate healthy lifestyle choices into their daily routine, including movement, nutrition and stress management techniques.
