Dr. Bieber Testimonial
I have seen Dr. Bieber numerous times in the last 15 or so years. The first time was for a tiny piece of glass in my left index finger, where I also had a wart for many years. He did a great job removing both. Since then I’ve seen him for several trigger fingers. He gave me cortisone shots in three of them and operated on one in 2011. That finger has been fine ever since. Most recently I saw him for pain in both my shoulders. He is clearly an expert in what he does and serious about it. I like his manner. I never feel rushed by him and he answers my many questions. The office staff is very friendly and competent too. I recommend this practice, and Dr. Bieber in particular, for hand and shoulder problems.

I had carpal tunnel syndrome and was in considerable pain. Dr. Bieber operated, and I was completely pain free immediately. The recovery was easy, and within two months there was no visible scarring and it was impossible to feel any difference between the hand on which he operated and the other one. He’s a miracle-worker! Plus, the surgery center he uses on Arlington Road in Bethesda was completely efficient and made the whole process as easy as could be. He gets an A+ from me!

The absolute best there is. I visited Dr. Mahidhar Durbhakula for a routine wrist issue. I was seen at my appointment time, which is an absolute rarity these days. Dr. Durbhakula was calm, patient, reassuring and answered all my questions in a very clear and unambiguous fashion. He very much impressed me with his knowledge and competency. I rarely write doctor reviews but I feel this is the least I can do to show my appreciation. I wholeheartedly recommend him as an outstanding specialist in hand an upper extremity orthopedics.

I would like to extend my compliments to the staff at OrthoBethesda.
I am a patient of Dr. Bieber (have been for over 30 years…). at the end of June, I fell on my right hand and repeated it in a much more dramatic way at the end of July.
In both cases and with the guidance of Dr. Bieber I had the good fortune to be treated by the hand therapy department. I feel my good fortune is my personal OT, Ali Damico. Not only is Ali very knowledgeable, as I expected, she also shows much caring and dedicated, and much more. She shares a sense of humor and she shows personal attention to what my reports of my progress, needs, or pains.
Whenever I walk in, I am greeted with a cheerful welcome by all the staff at the therapy department on the 5th floor. It is obvious that they share an amicable comradery between themselves and the good vibes between the therapists and support staff flow over to the patients. Every time I come in for therapy the atmosphere has a positive effect on, and I am sure about others, too.
In addition, Mayet is a magician at making sure the scheduling process smooth and easy – and all with a smile. She knows the process, and every time I need to either make an appointment or change, she tries to accommodate my schedule as best as possible.
Please convey my compliments to all the staff on the fifth floor. The support, the smile, and the welcome go a long way when you come in, usually with pains and concerns.
